In particular, the one I want to focus on is the "Doggie Porthole," which is shown below. I thought it was pretty obvious of an invention, as well as useless. The invention claims that it helps dogs in helping them satisfy their curiosity as to what is on the other side of the fence, and now they can simply look through their porthole as opposed to digging under the fence and running away. Overall, found this pretty amusing that this exists.
The "Doggie Porthole," is extremely amusing. Although it may be an obvious invention. I dont agree its useless. As you suggest is does have a use, if not just for aesthetic: it helps dogs in helping them satisfy their curiosity.
ReplyDeleteThis is only useful because it is hilarious, and there could literally be no other usefulness involved in this patent. Also I could argue that it is not non-obvious and has no real novelty as well.
ReplyDeletethis is exactly like a window, just for dogs instead of humans. if this patent is approved for dogs, we can have such patents for each and every animal of various physical structure.

ReplyDeleteThis is not useful at all! Dogs might/might not use it, and it's definitely not a novel idea. These patents are making the entire system look like a joke!
ReplyDeleteI honestly think that this porthole would encourage the dog to find a way around the gate. I feel like the dog would see something and try to jump over or climb under the fence to get it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a window -- not a "Doggie Porthole". Ridiculous what is getting patented these days. Could even be torturous for those dogs since they can see what is happening on the other side, but never actually have access to it...
